• Where are SafariFrames made?
    • The factory is located in Merton, South West of London. Enabling us to provide short lead times between ordering your SafariFrame and having it installed in your garden.
  • Do SafariFrames play centres require Maintenance?
    • Timber is a natural product that expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity, with some cracking and splitting being normal. Due to the size of the structural timbers used, it is unlikely that knots or cracks will affect the strength of these beams. The colour will change naturally with age from a green / beige colour to grey. To maintain the life and natural beauty of your play system, we recommend that you treat the timber annually with a suitable wood preservative available either from SafariFrames or your local DIY store.
    • All fixings should be checked twice annually, and where necessary tightened or adjusted. The timber should be treated annually.
    • Do not customise the play systems in any way as this may endanger your children and make the warranty void.
  • Are there age limits on the play systems?
    • The play system is not suitable for children under 3 years old, children under this age could fall off or may not have the ability to support themselves sufficiently.
  • Do SafariFrames play centres require planning permission?
    • SafariFrames are deemed to be ‘portable’ and not permanent structures and should not require Planning Permission from your local council. Regulations vary from Borough to Borough and therefore it’s best to contact your local Council if you are unsure of your situation. Consideration should be given to the proximity to neighbours boundaries and buildings
  • What if I move house?
    • SafariFrames play systems are large enough not to require built in ground anchors and can be easily dismantled and re-erected in your new garden. If you need assistance to do this don’t hesitate to call us!
  • Do I need a safety surface on which to build the play system?
    • Safety surfacing around domestic play systems is optional and often expensive, but does provide added protection in the case of a fall and also solves the problem of grass wearing thin in high traffic areas. SafariFrames recommends the use of either the Grass Saver rubber matting obtainable from SafariFrames, bark chipping or rubber chipping.
